Vacation, I have to thank who ever came up with the idea:).

We had a great 2 1/2 weeks vacation at the Oregon coast, continued by come great family time with friends and family through the 4th of July We went to a wonderful fireworks show! Seth had a great time. It was so fun watching him interact with his cousins, and grandparents.

We are home now, and it is time to get back into the swing of daily routine again. I have tons of laundry to do! Seth is being a trooper, playing by himself while I get the house back in order.

Okay, so we have finished our home study and are now waiting for a match for an adoption. It is exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.

That is it for now.

Love and blessings,

Amber

I was amazed that we had a tornado! Jed said Colorado rarely gets any, unless they are in the plains. But quite a few friends have been effected due to the tornado. Jed, Seth and I are all fine, we had some rain and wind, but many are out of power, or have hail damage to their homes, or worse! I feel so fortunate my family did not get hurt. Praise God!

My friend and I had massages and facials scheduled for the same day that it all happened. We decided to keep our appointments. They simply moved us to the basement. It all worked out since we were so stressed, the massages helped to relax us.

That is it for now. Have a blessed day!

Although I enjoy the winter weather very much, I am getting so revved up for summer. Seth will be out of school for the summer and he is going to be doing soccer and swim lessons, as well as piano. We are getting so excited for all the fun summer things to do. Our city has a large newspaper kind of thing that lists all the events for each quarter of the year and registrations are so chaotic! but I managed to enroll him for 7 really fun events some of them are simply a 1 time event, while others are once a week for a few weeks.

He is really excited:) I am planning on continuing home school during the summer, and he is so eager, we got a book which teaches how to tell time. He continually pulls the book down and tries to read it himself:).

He is doing so well, we are so proud of him.

I don’t have much to write, but I figured I would update it a bit, since it is no longer Christmas.

Seth, Jed and I are all doing well. Seth sure does enjoy school. They have a gymnastics portion once a week where he get to climb on stuff, and run around, and just be a boy, and he sure is flourishing from that. We had a bit of snow last night, but it has nearly all melted now. I am assuming most who read this site, read Jed’s site as well, and know that we are going through an adoption. We have our first home study scheduled for this Saturday. We are so nervous, and excited all at the same time. Seth changes his mind weekly as to whether he would like to have a brother or sister. So I guess that is good, because the way I see it is he doesn’t have any strong objections one way or the other, so which ever the Lord blesses us with, he will be happy. In theory any ways :) .

Well that is all for now.

Blessings,

Amber

I have almost all my decorating done, with the exception of a few lights on the exterior of the house.

We unfortunately have not had as much snow as last year this time but they say last year was a oddity. We do have some snow on the ground, but only a few inches, and it has been around for over a week now.

So, hmmm Jed and I have decided to get the ball rolling and begin the adoption process. We hit some bumpy road last time we were thinking of it, so we took a break. Now it is time to begin. We are so excited. We are looking into both domestic as well as international. Please keep us in your prayers, we will need to save up a bit before we get into the process too far.

That is it for now.

Have a blessed day!!

We recently enrolled Seth in pre-pre school program. He is just a few months short of actual preschool, so I found a “daycare” type school that has a great school atmosphere. He is in the “”seals” group, but will become a “goldfish in November when he turns 3. He gets to do art projects, have lunch, take naps, learn Spanish, read stories etc.

He is really enjoying it and was sad today that he was sick and couldn’t go.

Other than the, we at just getting revved up for Halloween. It is hard to decide what to dress Seth up as for Halloween, since it is so cold here by then, that most of the costumes are so thin, So he is going to be Spiderman (his choice) for school, and then a military man for trick-or-treating simply because I can dress him much warmer that way.

I hope all is well for all of you!

Have a blessed day.

There sure are some gaps in my digilance in updating huh? Well all is going great here. I had a chance to visit sis Jen last week and did some scrapbooking. Seth si growing like a weed and his verbal skill are through the roof. He keeps us laughing with all of his currant new phrases. We are looking forward to Christmas already. Colorado has such beautiful weather and Christmas season is no exception. Seth is already wanting to make cookies for Santa. I think he wants to get in some early bribery in order to get the good loot come Christmas:).
I took Seth to the park today and he had such a blast until he slipped out in the muddy soccer field and was covered in mud. Needless to say we had to go home after that, he hates to be muddy.

Well I better go for now, see you all later!

Well we are now settled into our new home and love it! Seth and I have joined a few ladies in the neighborhood and their kids, and participate in a playgroup. Gina, the one who typically organizes it, has a degree in child education so the structure of the playgroup is so well organized. She will usually focus on a theme such as colors, or numbers and has an activity, Seth is getting so much from it. He is growing so quickly! Speaking in sentences of 7-8 or more words and has such a great imagination. We got him a kitty, which he named Belle, and he now goes around the house meowing like a kitty and says his name is Belle :) .

I started a job working part time in the evenings, but we feel it is taking a lot away from our family dynamics, so I have already put in my 2 weeks notice. I have how ever, also started a new business endever, as a Creative Memories Consultant. www.mycmsite.com/amberpenna

It has been such fun, and so many friend and family have already helped me to get my business off the ground!

Special thanks to: Mom (Merry), Hannah, Jennifer, Dana, Sarah, Karla, (Yun, Karen- friend’s of Jennifer’s).

Well it is almost 1:00am here, so off to bed I go.

Blessings,

Amber (Seth’s_Mom)
